Our expertise:
bonded magnets & sintered mechanical parts.
A comprehensive technical approach, combining expertise in magnetism, mastery of sintering, and customized solutions.
Sintering is a process for manufacturing metal components from sintered powder, based on diffusion at high temperatures below the melting point.
The raw material is a metal powder, which contains both additives and lubricants.
The powder is then compressed by presses to obtain the desired shape. At this stage, the component remains brittle.
The component is then heated in a sintering furnace, below its melting point. Upon removal, the component will offer the desired mechanical strength.
After the basic pressing and sintering operations, the components will undergo additional operations such as gluing, deburring, washing, heat treatment, or surface treatment.
These composite materials, combining plastic and magnetic properties, enable the manufacture of magnetized parts with complex shapes that are lightweight and durable.
A multidisciplinary production team, combining expertise in electronics, automation, and IT, is capable of designing, developing, and continuously improving our production facilities. OPM is also able to design and manufacture all prototype tools tailored to its customers’ needs.
With this in mind, we control the entire production process in-house, carrying out injection molding directly in our own workshop. We also design our own magnetizers and monitor performance using our fully equipped laboratory.
OPM controls every stage of its product manufacturing process:
With many years of experience, OPM has expertise in numerous areas that we place entirely at your disposal. We firmly believe that knowledge comes from practice. Our expertise, proven in real-world situations, is designed to give you confidence and security.
